My name is Lizzy Oakley I am a Fully Qualified Integrative Counsellor & Psychotherapist, working with Adults, Children and Young People.

 

My counselling training started at a school, working with children and young People ranging from 11 to 16 years of age.

 

Since then I have grown both personally and professionally so that I can now help guide and support you through your own counselling process.

Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue and Chronic Pain (I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue in 2011 and from this I went on to set up my own support group  called Fibromyalgia Somerset & Invisible Me Wellbeing Support Group  as an online worldwide support page, which provides support, information and up to date research for anyone suffering the impact of chronic pain and fatigue.  From this I have gained extensive knowledge around fibromyalgia, musculoskeletal and arthritic diseases as well as other pain and fatigue conditions and continue to support people over the telephone and online, as well as through private counselling and coaching.

The first session will be an initial assessment and will be charged at the same rate unless stated otherwise.  In this session, the parent or carer will attend so that we can discuss why counselling is being sought, as well as fill out contact sheets and other relevant details.

COUNSELLING & PSYCHOTHERAPY DURING COVID-19

 

I am offering an 'Online Service' via ZOOM or Telephone Counselling.  Please see below for more information on how to acces these services.

 

ONLINE VIA ZOOM:

 

ZOOM is a cloud-based video conferencing service you can use to virtually meet with others as well as your counsellor - either via video or audio-only or both all while conducting live chats.

 

When a session is booked, I will send out an invite either via email or Instant Meeting ID so that we can arrange our first session together.

 

The first session will be for an hour where we will complete an initial assessment and a counselling agreement.  Further sessions can range from 45 to 60 mins in duration, depending on the type of session booked.  I will discuss these fees at your first appointment.

 

TELEPHONE SESSIONS:

 

All telephone sessions are the same as the online information other than:

 

I do not offer the telephone service for children or adolescents.

 

LIMITED CONCESSIONS AVAILABLE FOR LOW INCOMES (by prior arrangement only)
